This is the mother of all the products I ♥!

After the recreational cake decorating class I took at ICE, I knew a stand mixer was an absolute necessity. If you are a little more than an occasional baker this is truly indispensable. Plus with all the attachments
available you can do almost anything with it! I was gifted the ice cream attachment
for my bday! And the ice cream was great!
I have the mixer above the Empire Red Artisan
, her name is Betty. Yes I named my mixer! And you know what? I love her to bits! Without Betty I’m sure I couldn’t whip ganache so nicely.

Thanks to the cool chick herself we have a pic with two cakes!
I am lucky to have both my friends and family supporting my decision to change careers, but I have to say husband has been supportive in a near motivational speaker level, and I love him for it (amongst many other reason why), so of course, I made the exact cake he requested.
The request came a few weeks ago, it was for a kind of cake we eat a lot in Brazil, you might not know this but Ms. Cherryspoon grew up there, anyways, the cake is a simple white cake, with pastry cream and fresh chopped strawberries filling.
It was very tasty! Plus I got to make pastry cream for the very first time, so I am one step closer to being able to make my favorite cake, Gâteau St. Honoré, just kidding I have a ways to go before I can tackle that.

These beautiful babies soon became adorable toddlers who turned 3 this past Friday, and I was delighted to make them individual Dora cakes, one pink and one purple.
