Today is the last day to enter Cupcake Project and Scoopalicious’ 2nd Annual Ice Cream Cupcake Roundup!
I went with Chocolate and Banana, the cupcakes are yummy but a little too sweet for me (recipe here), however the ice cream’s coldness offsets it so we’re still good. The ice cream is Friendly’s Fudge Swirl one of my favorite store bought brand flavors. Also, there is a semi-sweet chocolate layer under the ice cream, used the leftover chocolate to decorate the banana slice.
While the cupcake+ice cream combo is very yummy, I must confess ice cream is not a forgiving medium and this pic was taken in a mega hurry!
update: You can vote for Choconaners (please!) or any of the other entries right here.
You so can’t go wrong with chocolate and banana! We don’t have Friendly’s in St. Louis. But, growing up in NY I LOVED the Friendly’s Fribble. mmmm I’m so glad you entered!
Thanks! I’m happy to enter! I wish I’d done it earlier… Ice Cream is tricky!!
love the chocolate and banana combo and as a new englander, i love friendly’s too! great entry!
