I’m an equal opportunity eater, so whilst a Fresh Direct ordering frenzy brought on by a 25 percent off coupon, yours truly refused to pass up the chance to try their cupcakes. (Also bought an insane amount of leeks but that’s another story.)
One day after ordering, I was pleasantly surprised with 4 little cupcakes, well half pleasantly suprised, to be honest. The chocolate cupcake was moist, fresh and rich tasting and the frosting was semi sweet Ganache, which in my humble book spells WIN!
Sadly the white cupcake had that Crisco frosting thing going on top of a dry crumbly cake, the taste of the cake though wasn’t bad (it was a butter cake) but not enough to save this one.
So my friend on a gloomy rainy day such as this, you can try your luck with a Fresh Direct cupcake, I approve the chocolate one.
Stay dry peeps! … or wet if that’s your thing, whatever floats your boat!
I just took a one-day baking class at my culinary school on, you guessed it, cupcakes. I have discovered I love frosting cupcakes and I have a hidden talent for it!
And it doesn’t hurt that they are yummy, too.
