<p style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;ve been on a Chai kick lately and it was only a matter of time before I decided to bake with it! On a side note, my posts have been somewhat verbose lately, so this one will be short and sweet, pinky promise.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">The recipe for the cupcakes is from <a title="Chai cupcakes" href="http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chai-Cupcakes/Detail.aspx" target="_blank">All recipes</a> (I love that they recalculate the ingredients for you!), they came out incredibly tasty but the texture was very <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">mushy</span> moist and dense, it reminded me a lot of Brazilian Honey Bread, so much so that next time I might cover them in Semi-Sweet Chocolate. For this batch, however, I opted to try out Spork or Foon&#8217;s <a title="Spork or Foon's Honey Ginger Cream" href="http://sporkandfoon.typepad.com/spork_or_a_foon/2009/04/the-cake-slice-bakers-chai-spiced-cake-with-honey-ginger-cream.html" target="_blank">Honey Ginger Cream</a>, which is very tasty!</p>

<p>The hearts atop these cakes showed up simply because the Cream is the perfect <strong>texture</strong> for that kind of decoration, I couldn&#8217;t resist!</p>
